Trial date set for village double stabbing suspect
James FlanaganA trial date has been set for a man accused of attempted murder after a double stabbing in a village in Leicestershire.
Police were called to Station Road in Quorn just after 18:15 BST on 23 April after receiving reports that two men in their 20s had been stabbed.
One of the men, who was found at the scene, suffered injuries to his hand and stomach, and a second man - who was later located by officers - had a stab wound to the side of his body.
Cohen Barley, 23, of Hawthorn Road, Mountsorrel, was charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.
At a hearing at Leicester Crown Court on Monday, Barley was told he will face a six-day trial on 19 October, with a plea hearing scheduled for 16 July.
