The death of a man who was found in the River Tyne is no longer being treated as suspicious.

Dean Larvin, from Gateshead, was last seen at about 22:00 BST on 10 April, Northumbria Police said.

His body was later found at Derwenthaugh Marina in Blaydon and a 48-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder before being released on police bail.

The force confirmed she was no longer under arrest and the death was no longer being treated as suspicious.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said the woman would "face no further action from police".

"There is not believed to be any third-party involvement in Dean's death, and a report will be prepared for the coroner in due course," they said.
