Police are appealing for witnesses after an elderly man died in hospital following a two-vehicle crash.

Kent Police said officers were called to Heart in Hand Road, Herne Bay, at 11:30 BST on 22 May.

An 88-year-old man was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries and has since died, said the force. His next of kin have been informed.

Police said they were seeking witnesses, CCTV and dashcam footage and that officers from the serious collision investigation unit were looking in to the circumstances of the crash.

Anyone who saw the collision or the vehicles involved beforehand, is being urged to contact the force.

"Motorists who were in the area are urged to check for any dashcam footage which may assist the investigation," Kent Police said.
