A signed diversion is in place

An emergency road closure is in place in Telford, after a "void" appeared below the road surface, a councillor has said.

Carolyn Healy said it happened on Legges Way in Madeley, close to the turn off for Blists Hill Victorian Town.

She added that there was no through route.

Ironbridge Gorge National Trust said Blists Hill was open as usual and diversion signs were in place, but added that visitors would need to approach from the Madeley direction.
