Murder arrest after man found dead on rooftop

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was discovered in a rooftop garden.

Anthony Clemmings, known as Tony, was found dead by a member of the public at a block of flats in Redcliff Street, Bristol, at about 08:20 BST on Tuesday.

Avon and Somerset Police has now confirmed a 50-year-old man is in custody after being arrested in the West Midlands on Friday.

After his death, Clemmings' family described their "much-loved son, brother and uncle" as a "lovely man to all those that truly knew him". They added he would be "greatly missed".

On Friday, Avon and Somerset Police said forensic and CCTV enquiries had been carried out and extra patrols were taking place in the area.

The force asked anyone with information which they felt could help the investigation to get in touch.
