An 18-year-old woman who was seriously injured when a car she was travelling in crashed into a house then a wall has died, a day after the driver was also killed.

The VW Golf left the road at the junction of Helmshore Road and Dean Road in Haslingden just before midnight on Monday.

The driver - a man in his 20s - later died in hospital and two women, both 18, suffered severe injuries and were taken to hospital.

One of the teenagers died on Tuesday night, Lancashire Police said, and the other remains in hospital.

Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage or information to contact the force.
