A boy has been seriously injured after he was struck by a car in a road collision.

The 12-year-old suffered a serious head injury after being hit by a white Suzuki Swift in Grane Road, Haslingden, at about 14:00 BST on Saturday, Lancashire Police said.

He was taken to hospital where his condition is described as stable.

The driver stayed at the scene and no arrests have been made. Police are appealing for anyone with information and footage to contact them.
