Lincolnshire residents head to the polls

Polls close at 22:00 BST on Thursday

Voting is under way to elect new councillors in Lincoln and North East Lincolnshire.

At City of Lincoln Council, 11 seats are up for grabs - one from each of the 11 wards. There are 60 candidates standing in total.

At North East Lincolnshire Council, there is one seat up for election in each of the authority's 15 wards. There are 87 candidates standing altogether.

Polling stations opened at 07:00 BST and will close at 22:00.

The Conservatives, Greens, Labour, Liberal Democrats and Reform UK are fielding candidates in every ward in Lincoln.

Candidates are also standing for the Lincolnshire Independents and Trade Union and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) in some Lincoln wards.

Candidates are also standing for the Greens, Liberal Democrats, Trade Union and the TUSC, Social Democratic Party, National Housing Party, and as independents in some wards in North East Lincolnshire.
