US shares open higher as tech stocks recover
US stock markets have started the week in the green after Friday's bruising sell-off that wiped a trillion dollars off technology shares. As well as a recovery in tech, traders have been reassured by Iran's pledge to cease attacks on Israel, which saw oil prices calm a little after a steep rise in early trade, as an exchange of missiles by Iran and Israel rattled energy markets.
Darius Dale, founder and CEO of research firm 42 Macro, says Wall Street has largely moved on from the Iran war and is betting on a deal to end the conflict.
