Energy price increases challenge connectivity across Africa
Africa's largest mobile network operator has told the BBC that inflation increases following the Strait of Hormuz conflict are creating challenges for connectivity across the continent and contributing to the increasing cost of smart phones.
MTN Group Senior Vice President, Ebenezer Asante, told Zeinab Badawi that seven out of 10 Africans are offline, adding that it was important that measures are taken to improve this.
