Men arrested over alleged rape during early hours

Two men have been arrested after a woman reported being raped at a home.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to a residential property in Sherford, Devon, after receiving reports of a rape during the early hours of Sunday.

The woman and the two suspects are believed to have first met in the North Hill area of Plymouth before travelling to Sherford, a force spokesperson added.

A 31-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from Plymouth, were arrested on suspicion of rape and remained in police custody. Anyone with information about the incident has been asked to contact police.

Det Insp Katy Deer said: "We remain fully committed to protecting women and girls across our communities and ask that the public continue to support us.

"If you have any information that could help with the investigation, please come forward."
