The Duchess of Edinburgh has travelled offshore to Jersey's Les Ecréhous as part of a two-day royal visit.

According to the Bailiff's Office, it is believed to be the first time a member of the Royal Family has been to the reef, known for its wildlife, which is about six miles (9.7km) north of Jersey.

On Tuesday, the duchess also spent time meeting local farmers, environmentalists and children.

She learned about Jersey's commitment to sustainable food production and stewardship of our natural environment.
