A three-car crash on the A52 near Radcliffe-on-Trent caused "major delays" during the peak morning rush hour.

The A52 Radcliffe Road, at its junction with Stragglethorpe Road, was shut eastbound on Tuesday morning after emergency services were called to the collision at about 07:15 BST.

One eyewitness told the BBC he saw a car on its side as he drove by, but Nottinghamshire Police said no-one was seriously hurt in the crash and no arrests had been made.

By late morning the road had fully reopened, officers said.

NCT buses to Newark in Nottinghamshire were diverted after Gamston Lock through Tollerton and Cotgrave, and were not serving Radcliffe-on-Trent.

Trentbarton also reported major delays on Tuesday morning, affecting its Mainline, Rushcliffe Villager and Cotgrave services.
