About 100 fines for illegal parking issued in a day
Cambridgeshire PoliceNearly 100 fines were issued to drivers parked illegally in a city in one day, police have said.
Cambridgeshire Police said its officers and colleagues from Peterborough City Council issued 92 fixed penalty notices to drivers parked illegally in Clarence Road, Gladstone Street and Cromwell Road on Friday.
The force said it conducted joint patrols with the council after firefighters could not reach an emergency in Clarence Road because of "obstructive parking" last month.
"This is a great example of partnership working, and we will continue to do these joint patrols when we can," a spokesperson for the force said.
