Driver, 22, dies in dual carriageway crash

A woman has died after the car she was driving crashed on a dual carriageway.

A white Peugeot driven by the 22-year-old crashed on the A31 in New Alresford between 06:50 and 07:10 BST on Monday.

It happened on the eastbound carriageway between the Percy Hobbs roundabout and Alresford bypass roundabout.

The woman, from Winchester, died at the scene. Her next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.

Hampshire Constabulary is urging witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
