The Glasgow streets blighted by water problems since Christmas
BBCFed-up residents on a Glasgow street have expressed frustration at persistent problems with their water supply that have lasted five months.
People living on Fountainwell Road and Fountainwell Gardens in the city's Sighthill area first lost their water supply for a period of time on Christmas Day last year.
The supply cutting off - which has been blamed on issues with a water pump - has happened multiple times since then and left locals unable to do basic things like make a cup of tea or flush the toilet.
Wheatley Homes, who have responsibility for the pump, said it provided bottled water to people on the street and was working to upgrade the device.
Elaine Ellis told BBC Scotland News that she first noticed problems with the water supply at Christmas, when it went off completely.
She said: "We've got people with babies and young children here, and we don't know if this will keep happening again and again.
"Christmas Day was the first time it happened, and it was annoying but you accept these things happen. But it keeps happening - there's been at least three incidents now, so it's not really on.
"I know it's a first world problem and there are people who have it a lot worse, but expecting clean water is a fairly basic requirement. I want to make a cup of tea or wash my hands when I get home from work.
"The last time it happened I was halfway through dyeing my hair, so that was a nightmare."

Since the Christmas Day stoppage, water on the street has gone off in January and then twice in April.
Ellis, who has lived in the current block for about 10 years, said some of the delays have lasted several hours, a claim that Wheatley Homes denies.
The company said the longest water outage had been a few hours, not the numbers some residents had given, although a letter sent to a resident and seen by BBC Scotland apologises for a nine hour delay.
May Bishop, 76, said the issues have been extremely frustrating.
She said: "Last time it was half past 11 at night it happened, no warning or anything - it's just gone. I was going for a hot chocolate and there was nothing.
"You phone up, and you get told to check Scottish Water first. You'll check there and be told to go back to Wheatley."
She added that there had been issues with the water supply over a few years, but the problems had become more frequent since Christmas.
Sorry for disruption
Locals said there had been confusion over whether Wheatly or Scottish Water had responsibility for the water supply, as both operate networks in the area.
Wheatley say it intended to write to people affected and provide details of what steps it has taken.
Sighthill has been a target for regeneration by Glasgow City Council over the past several years, which has seen more than 1,000 new homes built in the area.
However, Ellis told BBC Scotland News that it still feels the region can be forgotten about.
She added: "Sighthill is a great area, but whenever there's a problem it always feels like things would be fixed a lot quicker if it was a nice, middle class part of Glasgow."
A Wheatley Homes spokesperson said: "We're very sorry for the disruption caused by issues with the water supply.
"As soon as we learned about these issues, our teams worked to fix the pump and gave bottled water to households that needed it.
"We're working to upgrade the pump so there are no more disruptions."
A spokesperson for Scottish Water said: "We believe this issue is down to the failure of pumps that are not owned or operated by Scottish Water, on each occasion of these reports, we have attended and found our Scottish Water network is pressurised at the nearby hydrant."
