E-scooter rider suffers life-threatening injuries

An 18-year-old man has suffered "life-threatening injuries" in a incident involving an electric scooter in Bradford.

The single-vehicle crash happened on Canterbury Avenue at about 19:35 BST on Thursday, West Yorkshire Police said.

The force said the rider was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment, with inquiries into the circumstances of the incident continuing.

Officers have appealed for witnesses, including anyone who saw the e-scooter before the collision or who may have footage of the crash, to come forward.
