HGV driver dies in four-vehicle motorway collision
BBCA lorry driver was killed in a four-vehicle collision that saw the M1 closed for 26 hours, police said.
The motorway was closed northbound between junction 16 for Northampton and junction 18 near Rugby in Warwickshire, following a collision shortly after 22:00 BST on Tuesday. The road reopened at about 00:30 on Thursday.
Northamptonshire Police said the collision involved the drivers of a white Scania HGV, a blue Mercedes HGV, a white Mercedes HGV and a white MAN HGV.
The driver of the white Scania HGV was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or captured footage on a dash-cam, to contact them on 101.
