Man charged over £895,000 cannabis seizure

A man has been charged with drug offences after a "significant" amount of cannabis was seized from three properties in Edinburgh.

Police raided premises in Breadalbane Street in Bonnington, Salamander Street in Leith and Western Harbour Way in Newhaven on Tuesday.

A large quantity of the class B drug, with an estimated street value of about £895,000, was recovered along with an unspecified amount of cash.

A 48-year-old man was arrested and was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later.
