Two men taken to hospital after machete attack
BBCTwo men have been taken to hospital following an aggravated burglary involving hammers, crowbars and a machete in north Belfast.
Police received a report shortly after 21:40 BST on Friday that a number of masked men entered a house in Ambleside Street.
They assaulted two male occupants with hammers, crow bars and a machete. The property was also damaged in the attack.
Both men required hospital treatment for cuts and bruises.
The attackers are believed to have made off in the direction of Upper Charleville Street following the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
