Two men charged after city centre disturbance
BBCTwo men have been charged in connection with an incident in a city centre.
Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to reports of a violent disturbance involving numerous people in Calenick Street, Truro, Cornwall, at 13:45 BST on Monday. A man was hospitalised with injuries later deemed non-life-threatening.
Sinjar Zurel, 27, and Seyin Zurel, 24, from Malpas, Truro, had been charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent; with Sinjar Zurel also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in public, police said.
The men were in custody and due before Truro Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, they added.
Police asked the public to remember that legal proceedings were active and any sharing of videos online could risk "jeopardising an ongoing investigation".
They added inquiries were ongoing.
