The Isle of Man's Mountain Road has reopened to two-way traffic following the removal of the one-way system that was put in place for the duration of the TT races.

The closure, between 09:30 BST and 16:30, allowed for the removal of signage and traffic management measures that have been in place since 22 May.

The reopening also saw the lifting of a ban on cycling on the stretch of road, which was also in place throughout the festival.

The A18 Mountain Road forms part of the 37.7-mile (60km) TT course and is a popular stretch of road for visiting and local motorcyclists.

The one-way system between Ramsey Hairpin and the Creg Ny Baa was first introduced for the centenary of the event in 2007 to reduce the number of head-on crashes seen on the route.
