Nine fire engines called to Glasgow city centre bar fire

More than 40 firefighters have been called out after reports of fire at a bar in central Glasgow.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said it was alerted just after 14:40 and nine appliances were in attendance on Sunday evening.

Images from the scene showed parts of Renfield Street and West Regent Street were cordoned off, with a number of fire crews gathered outside both the Bistro and Maltman bars.

There were no reports of casualties. People have been advised to avoid the area.
