New store massive for club income, say Sky Blues
BBCCoventry City Football Club's new shop is "massive" in terms of the team's income, its chief business officer has said.
The COV Store is spread over two floors at the Coventry Building Society Arena and covers 15,000 sqft and opens to the public on 2 July.
Chief business officer Nicola Ibbetson, said: "I think we have the best store in the Premier League.
"This is the first real opportunity we've had since Doug [King] bought the stadium, where we've been able to put our mark and say this is who Coventry City Football Club is at the CBS Arena".
Coventry City Football ClubThe new outlet replaces a smaller unit the club ran at the arena while the retail site operated at West Orchards Shopping Centre in Coventry city centre.
The store will also have a dedicated area covering the club's history, starting with an exhibition charting the team's 2025-26 season, which saw it win the title and promotion to the Premier League, 25 years after relegation from the top flight.

"People are incredibly proud to be from Coventry and when you dig into why, there's a huge amount of history, whether that be what happened during war times or the automotive industry and the deep heritage of engineering that exists here," said Ibbetson.
She added: "1,300 businesses in Coventry fuel the automotive industry. Cars of the future are being designed in Coventry. And we, as a football club, want to make sure we use the global platform of the Premier League to tell that story with pride."
Ibbetson, who came to the club after a year at French giants Paris St-Germain, said the store will also aim to encourage more female involvement in the sport and club.
"I've said before we need to bring more products to women, to juniors and that's something that will evolve over time.
"I want [the store] to be an experience of the Coventry City Football Club brand. I want people to see this place as a destination and they should walk through into quite an immersive experience."
