Four people taken to hospital and a man arrested after crash
BBCA 31-year-old man has been arrested after four people were taken to hospital following a crash near Kyle of Lochalsh.
Emergency services were called to the collision involving a silver Mercedes GLB200 and a white Dacia Duster on the A890, near Auchtertyre, at about 17:10 on Thursday.
A 78-year-old man was seriously injured and two women aged 27 and 74 and a man, 31, were also taken to hospital for assessment.
Police Scotland said its inquiries were ongoing and has appealed for information.
The road was closed to allow for an investigation to take place and was reopened at about 01:00 on Friday.
Sgt Doug Scott said: "Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and has any information to get in touch with officers.
"I'd also ask that anyone in the area who has dashcam footage review this to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation."
Meanwhile, on Friday morning, one person was flown to hospital in Glasgow after a large vehicle crashed near Invergarry.
