Crash victim was 'truly loveable character'
FamilyThe family of a motorcyclist who died in Staffordshire has described him as "one of life's truly loveable characters".
Mark Beech, 65, from Wolverhampton, died near Leek on Sunday after his motorbike was involved in a crash on Leek Road, Blake Mere at about 09:30 BST, Staffordshire Police said.
The force is still investigating what happened and is appealing for witnesses or those with dashcam footage.
"He had a warmth about him that drew people in, and a way of making everyone feel welcome, valued and entertained," his family said in a tribute.
"Whether through his humour, his stories, or simply the joy he brought into a room, Mark had a rare gift for lifting the spirits of those around him.
"He was loved by everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. To know Mark was to know kindness, laughter and generosity."
They added that he left a "lasting impression" on people, and was a loving husband, father of two sons and a grandfather to four grandchildren.
"His family meant the world to him, and the love he had for them was clear in everything he did," the tribute continued.
"Mark loved to be the entertainer. He brought people together, made them laugh, and created moments that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
"His presence filled a space, and his absence will be felt deeply by so many."
