Police investigate rape of girl, 16, in park
GoogleA 16-year-old girl has been raped after she was approached by a group of three men in a park, police have said.
Detectives launched an investigation after it was reported the group came up to the teenager before one of them attacked her between 21:40 and 22:45 BST on Saturday in Broughton Brook, Milton Keynes.
The group consisted of one white and two black males, with Thames Valley Police saying the male involved is described as black, in his late teens or early 20s, had his hair covered and was dressed in dark clothes.
Det Con Amy Banks urged anyone in the park at the time to contact them if they spotted something suspicious or had information, and said officers were supporting the victim.
She said: "I appreciate that this incident will be concerning to the local community and want to assure you that we have been following every line of inquiry available.
"Officers have been on patrol in the area and will continue to carry out inquiries locally."
Banks, from the Milton Keynes criminal investigation team, added that residents with any concerns or questions should speak to the patrolling officers.
