Police were called to Anglesey Business Park on Wednesday evening

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a car struck a pedestrian in Burton-upon-Trent.

A boy, 17, has also been arrested, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder, after the incident on Wednesday. The pedestrian, a 17-year-old boy, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he currently remains.

Emergency services were called to Anglesey Business Park at 18:25 BST, but the car, a purple Hyundai Veloster, had left the scene.

Staffordshire Police are appealing for dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage of the incident - particularly anything that captured the car, which was last seen travelling away from Burton town centre after the incident.
