Boy, 15, who died in sea named at inquest

An inquest has heard that a 15-year-old from Bradford died after getting into difficulty in the sea in Pembrokeshire.

Marcin Michal Komoszewski died after entering the water at Marloes Sands beach on 30 August while on holiday with his family. Two other people who were also experiencing difficulties managed to get out of the water.

Rescue attempts were made by his family and a member of the public but "contact with him was eventually lost" and the search was called off after two days.

Marcin's body was eventually spotted by a passing yacht near St Anne's Head on 8 September and later recovered by Angle RNLI.

The inquest heard that Marcin, a student living in Bradford, was born in Poland in 2010.

Chief Coroner Gareth Lewis said the cause of death was yet to be offered as "laboratory investigations are still ongoing".

Following a short hearing he adjourned the inquest pending further investigations.
