A secondary school has been evacuated after reports of malicious communications were sent, police have said.

Suffolk Police was called to Stoke High School Ormiston Academy in Ipswich just after 08:05 BST.

A spokesperson for the force said officers were at the school site on Maidenhall Approach and were trying to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

"The school made the decision to evacuate the premises as a precaution, whilst officers conduct their inquiries," they added.
