Staff at a betting shop in Nottingham were threatened with violence and forced to hand over hundreds of pounds in a robbery, police have said.

Nottinghamshire Police said it was called to Ladbrokes on Lower Parliament Street just after 08:00 BST on Saturday.

The members of staff suffered minor injuries during the robbery, which officers said was carried out by two men who fled the scene with the cash.

Det Insp Ed Cook said: "We're now appealing to anyone who saw this happen, or thinks they might know who could be involved, to share this immediately, so that we can take action."

The force also wants to hear from potential witnesses or anyone who may have inadvertently captured dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage.
