The family of a motorcycle rider who died in a crash have described him as man with a "kind heart" who "brought laughter to those around him".

Derbyshire Police said Jack Hague was riding a motorcycle which crashed into a telegraph pole and wall on Belper Road, near Belper, just before 15:30 BST on 29 May.

Emergency services attended, but Hague, 28, from Sheffield, was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, issued by police, Hague's family said he was a "much-loved son, partner, brother, grandson and friend, who would be deeply missed by everyone who knew him."

"He had a kind heart, great sense of humour and brought laughter to those around him," the family tribute added.

"He was never happier than when he was riding his bike. We would like to thank everyone for their kind messages and support at this heartbreaking time.

"Jack will be loved, missed and remembered always."
