Educational psychology online resources rolled out
BBCOnline resources have been launched to bring information to families about what the Educational Psychology Service does in Jersey.
The Government of Jersey said the online resource included short videos in a range of languages and a downloadable booklet explaining the service's role and answering frequently asked questions.
This comes as the new principal educational psychologist Dr Rachel O'Connor has officially started.
She said: "By expanding the team, strengthening partnerships with schools and families, and improving access to clear information through our new online resources, we are building a service that is sustainable, visible, and focused on improving outcomes."
The government said O'Connor had begun her induction and was "looking forward to working in partnership with education settings, professionals, and families across the island".
It said her appointment supported the wider transformation of the Educational Psychology Service, led by Dr Jo Lyons, with a focus on developing a more visible and impactful service for children and young people in Jersey.
As part of this work, the Psychology and Wellbeing team (PAWBS) which brought together Educational Psychologists and Well Being Facilitators was being expanded, the government added.
