A lorry trapped beneath a bridge on a busy route into York has been removed, police have confirmed.
The HGV became wedged under the old railway bridge on Huntington Road, in the Heworth area of the city, just after 11:00 BST, with police and highways officers at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions between Haleys Terrace and Park Grove.
North Yorkshire Police confirmed in an update the lorry had been removed and the road was reopened at about 16:20. No one was injured, the force said.
