Countryfile presenter Adam Henson has praised the Royal Three Counties Show in Worcestershire for "bridging that urban divide".

Henson, who owns a farm in the Cotswolds, said the show was also important for allowing farming communities to share success and worries.

"It's bringing people along to have a lovely day," he said. "Lots of farmers are here to celebrate success, talk to each other, reassure each other about how things are going."

The show is being held at Three Counties Showground in Malvern from Friday to Sunday and features a food and drink festival, local traders, and special guests, including Kaleb Cooper from Clarkson's Farm.

Discussing his love for the event, Henson said: "I've been coming here ever since I was a child, ever since I was a little boy.

"It's got to be one of my favourite shows in the UK. It sits in this beautiful bowl of the Malvern Hills, and it's just a fantastic show."

In previous years Henson has been a judge for the animal shows, which he said had been a "huge pressure".

"There's going to be the red rosettes that love you and the people who don't get rosettes who don't love you," he said.

"But it's a great honour to judge animals. People have gone to a huge amount of energy and effort to bring animals here.

"They've selected them, prepared them, and brought them into the show ring.

"So, to be that person who judges whether they're up there in the rankings or not is an honour, and quite a lot of pressure."
