Motorcyclist killed in crash 'made life brighter'
Cambridgeshire Police/family handoutA motorcyclist who died after a collision involving a lorry was "loved beyond words", his family said.
Tyler Ellis from Yaxley near Peterborough, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, in Cambridge, with life-threatening injuries but later died.
A red Volvo lorry heading northbound collided with the 23-year-old's black Kawasaki, going in the opposite direction, on the B1043 Old North Road in Sawtry, Cambridgeshire, at about 12:50 BST on 5 October.
The driver of the HGV, a 76-year-old man from Wisbech, was uninjured and arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and has been bailed until January.
In a tribute, Ellis' family said: "He was such a kind, loving and likeable young man, with a smile that could light up any room and a laugh that was truly infectious.
"He had a special way of bringing happiness to those around him, and his presence made life brighter for everyone who knew him.
"There are simply no words to describe the heartbreak and devastation we feel at losing our precious boy. Our world has been shattered in a way that words can never explain, and there will forever be an emptiness in our hearts that can never be filled.
"The love we have for you will never fade, and although we cannot hold you in our arms, you will forever be a part of us. Your memories, your smile and your laughter will live on in everyone who was lucky enough to know you," they added.
Cambridgeshire Police has appealed for anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them.
