Man in court charged with rape at town bar
Getty ImagesA man has been charged with rape and sexual assault in connection with incidents at a bar in Castleford.
West Yorkshire Police said the offences were reported to have occurred at Sanctum Bar in 2024 and 2026.
Daniel Bennett, 43, from Kippax, was remanded in custody charged with three counts of rape and one of assault by penetration when he appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court earlier.
He will next appear at Leeds Crown Court for a hearing on 13 August.
The force confirmed officers were providing support to the victims, as inquiries continued.
