Six arrested for historical child sexual offences
Getty ImagesSix men have been arrested on suspicion of historical sexual offences against girls in the Leeds area.
The offences are alleged to have taken place against five victims in Micklefield, Kippax and Garforth between 2007 and 2012.
The men, aged 34, 35, 36, 37, 37 and 38, were arrested at addresses in the Leeds area and Birmingham and have since been released on bail, West Yorkshire Police said.
The alleged offences include rape of females under 13 and females aged between 13 and 15, as well intentionally arranging or facilitating the travel of females with a view to their exploitation.
Det Supt Sarah Lambert, from West Yorkshire Police, said: "Child sexual abuse and exploitation are abhorrent crimes that cause lasting harm to some of the most vulnerable members of our communities.
"We urge anyone who has experienced sexual abuse, regardless of when or where it occurred, to please come forward and report it to the police."
