Woman dies and two taken to hospital after crash

A woman in her 40s has died and her teenage girl passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a car and a lorry.

Norfolk Police said a blue BMW X2 and a white Volvo lorry collided on the A1067 at Bawdeswell, near Dereham, at about 12:07 BST on Thursday.

The driver of the BMW, a woman in her 40s, died at the scene. A man, in his 60s, who had been driving the lorry was also taken to hospital, with minor injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services, including ambulance and fire crews, attended the scene and it reopened at about 19:30.

The force appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to get in touch.
