Police have made a further arrest as part of a murder investigation after a man was stabbed in Leicester.

Arad Niakan, 24, died after being attacked in De Montfort Place, off London Road, on 22 July.

Leicestershire Police said a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder on Wednesday and remained in custody.

Four men have already been charged with murder, with a fifth man charged with assisting an offender.

Two men, 52, and two women, 43, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender as part of the investigation were released on bail, police said.

It added a 33-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder had been released with no further action.
