Road to close overnight for investigation works
GoogleDerbyshire County Council has confirmed the A54 Macclesfield Main Road is set to close overnight for five days from Monday for investigation works.
The authority said the road would close from 19:00 BST to 06:00 from Monday to Friday 23 May - between the A53 Leek Road, near Buxton, and the junction with the A537 - to investigate the causes of historical slips along the road.
It said a signed diversion would be in place using the A53, A523, A537 and the A54.
The council said access would remain for properties on Macclesfield Main Road throughout the works and existing on-street parking would remain unaffected.
