Watch: Universal UK Resort begins demolishing homes

Bulldozers have moved in and have begun demolishing houses that lie in the way of what will be Universal's new UK theme park in Bedfordshire.

Contractors plan to raze a terrace of 12 properties in Manor Road, Kempston Hardwick, and have closed the road until 28 November.

The theme park developer said it remained "committed to being a good neighbour" during the project, which is being built over 476 acres (193ha).

About 8.5 million people are expected to visit the £5bn Universal UK Resort each year when it opens in 2031. Other properties are being demolished as well.
