Spandau singer puts on show for dedicated superfan

It was a golden night to remember for Mike Carr, a superfan of 80s pop star Tony Hadley.

The former Spandau Ballet frontman put on a fundraising concert for Mike, 58, in his hometown of Northallerton.

Mike was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in January and reached out to the singer to help with fundraising for charities that supported him.

There were 350 people including Mike's friends and family in attendance at the gig.
