Firefighters battle to contain Florida Everglades brush fire

Firefighters are battling a large brush fire in the Florida Everglades for a second day on 11 May.

The Florida Forest Service said the fire had burned more than 7,000 acres in western Broward County, and was only about 40% contained, with crews from multiple agencies working to slow its spread.

Forecasters said expected rain in the coming days could help crews gain ground on the blaze.
