Watch: Police find wanted man hiding under bed

Police bodycam footage captured the moment a wanted man was found hiding under a bed.

Joseph Wicks, 27, had previously been identified as the driver of a Fiat 500 which mounted the pavement and struck three pedestrians in Queen Street, Colchester, in the early hours of 30 November.

Essex Police also released footage showing him driving aggressively and dangerously around the city centre earlier, and the force said he was also wanted as part of a stalking investigation.

He pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, failing to stop for police, three counts of assault by beating, three counts of attempting to cause actual bodily harm, stalking, sending threatening communications and criminal damage.

Wicks, of Braithwaite Drive, Colchester, was jailed for four years and six months at Ipswich Crown Court on 31 July and was also disqualified from driving for two years and six months.
