First couple marry at historic seaside lido

A Devon couple has become the first to get married at a historic seafront lido.

Sarah and Frank Ford tied the knot at Tinside Lido in Plymouth last month – the first time the venue has hosted a wedding in its 91-year history.

"When we knew we were getting married in Plymouth, what's more iconic than being married at Tinside," Mrs Ford said.

Mr Ford said he grew up in Plymouth and it felt like Tinside Lido already had "a lot of history" and their wedding just added to that.

The venue benefited from a multimillion-pound restoration last year, which included a new multi-use space.
