Watch: Bedford River Festival makes a splash

Thousands of people flocked to Bedford over the weekend for the town's biennial river festival.

The event, held around Russell Park and across Bedford town centre, saw dozens of boats take to the water as crowds enjoyed a range of activities throughout the weekend.

Among the attractions was the popular raft race, where the BBC Three Counties Radio team made a splash with help from Luton Sea Scouts.

The event was expected to bring in more than 300,000 visitors to the town.
