Hundreds descend on re-opening of £30m precinct

Hundreds of people attended the reopening of Armada Way in Plymouth on Saturday after £30m of works.

The ribbon was cut by Steve Hughes, chief executive of the Plymouth City Centre Company, and Tudor Evans, leader of Plymouth City Council.

The redevelopment includes installation of a large play area, water features and a grassland sound sensory play space.

The council said the precinct was now spacious, had 25,000 new plants, landscaped levels and plenty of places to sit.
