Orchestra treats patients to finale show

A chamber orchestra has signed off its five-week residency at Norfolk's largest hospital with a special concert.

Britten Sinfonia, based in Cambridge and named after the Lowestoft-born composer Benjamin Britten, has been performing at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The 11-piece ensemble has been orchestrating smiles among neurology patients during its summer stint based in the department, with a series of pop-up performances, workshops, conversations and listening sessions held across the wider hospital.

Patients, staff and visitors were treated to Wednesday's finale in the hospital's east atrium.
