Timelapse video shows motorway bridge demolition
A bridge at junction 9 of the M3 was demolished in a round-the-clock operation on Friday.
The timelapse footage shows how workers used specialist machinery to chip away at the old concrete surface before clearing thousands of tons of debris.
Daniel Kittredge, a senior project manager with National Highways, said: "I'm incredibly proud of the work our teams carried out over the weekend, at times in very challenging conditions."
Another bridge on the south side of the site will be demolished next month, allowing the motorway to be widened.
